Through my love of nature, unusual color combinations, and bold mark making; I create paintings and learn about myself and my process as I go. Each new series of work is an exploration of an interest, fascination or curiosity of mine.
I’m able to expand and grow through knowledge I gain as I study a subject by painting it. I paint on canvas and wood panels with acrylic paint, gouache, and wax pastels. I often slowly build up a painting one thin layer at a time.
